I am just starting to mess around with jets...after all these years...and it seems to me that the view from the cockpit on the big iron isn't anywhere near as high off the runway as it should be.Sitting in the 747 looks like I'm no higher off the runway than in a skyhawk. Any comments?Thanks

The default and most of the third party addon aircraft don't exercise many of the available view parameters available for correctly setting the actual pilot's view of the outside world in the 2D cockpit. What zoom stting are you using? I get that feeling if the zoom is set to 1, so I use 0.75. This looks better to me. The view from a 747 looks much higher. R-
