PMDG B777X crashes when saved as a start up flight

Featured Replies

Hi all!

I have been flying the PMDG B777X since the day it came out (well maybe one day later from release) but I noticed that it can only be loaded up from a default plane----starts up FS X---Then replace the default Cessna with the PMDG B777X. Otherwise if you were to save it as the start up flight, either it crashes the whole flight sim, or just will not initialise when it starts up in flight sim if saved as a "default flight" with the PMDG B777X selected as the start up aircraft. This is definitely a bug with the plane as there is no such difficulty with the PMDG NGX. I think it crashes the PMDG.dll or something like that. As of now, the plane is in the hangar until the first patch is out. Now have to chase the PMDG team for the patch.

Have the same issue that is stated above fatal error has occurred.

When also try to change from 777 pmdg plane to another basic plane or a default to rectify issue Fatal error has occurred FSX crashes.

Getting smart assembly error as well not sure if this is related.

Basically I can not save 777pmdg as default Flight.

Guy's please read the intro manual. You cannot use the T7 or the NGX or the MD11 or the 747X  as a start up flight.

WinWing FCU, EFIS, MCDU

Seriously never had an issue with ngx or 747x or md11 as a start up issue.

I am confused

Has there been recent changes to any of the software that's in 777 to cause this issue??

Just uninstalled 777 and things start working again. can load ngx like normal. Again has something changed

regards

Richard

gotta go check back later

Nothing has changed. remember the PMDG planes have to initialize upon loading, and if you read the intro manual for both planes, the NGX and the T7, Ryan explains why. The OP stated it is a bug to be fixed, I think most will disagree with that, not only PMDG.

Smart assembly errors are to do with simconnect. having those heavy system dependant planes starting as default is the probable cause.

Cheers for the response Badfinger.

NGX and the 777 files must clash.

Never had the issues of not loading before.

No worries. If you start your flights with the default trike, all should be fine.
