Need advice for a rig (1440x900)

I am helping a friend who lives in Brazil. Parts are very expensive there, so he is buying it in Paraguay. He will be using a monitor with a res of 1440 x 900, so I assume this will give him good performance. However, he is thinking about upgrading his monitor to a 1920x1080 res monitor.

Here are the parts he wants to buy, please tell me if these will allow him to play FSX with add-ons and decent settings:

i7-3770

EVGA GTX 680 2gb

XFX 750W PSU Bronze

8GB 1600MHz Corsair Vengeance RAM

GA-Z77-D3H motherboard

Is this good enough for 1440x900, and perhaps 1920x1080 at high settings with add-ons, such as ORBX, PMDG and REX? Or should he upgrade to lets a i7-3770K and a EVGA 680 4GB? So he can overclock his CPU and have more VRAM for higher resolutions?
