What addons (FSX) works in P3D?

Recommended Posts

I am starting a separate thread for this.

If you know a particular addon/vendor products from FSX works in P3D or does not work, please post and let us know.

IF it works, and it requires a seperate install specific for P3D or if you can simply direct it to an already installed FSX directory, please state which way this is done.

If a specific addon is not included in this list, please free to add them.

=========================================================

a) Works by simply linking to an exisiting directory that was used for FSX (this way both sims (FSX and P3D can use the same folders).

b.)  Copy over the old FSX folder to  a seperate location within P3D and link this to P3D (no reinstall required)

c) a separate P3D install file  available for P3D specific install but no additional purchase required

d) P3D version available for an additional purchase

e) Technically this could be made to work for the most part but may be violating EULA..and no tech support from the vendor) IMPORTANT: "if the EULA does not permit usage of the addon in P3D, no further information should be posted about that addon"

f) Simply does not work but vendor has promsed a version for P3D sometime in the future.

g)  Simply does not work and  vendor has stated no intention to provide one for P3D landsape. (Pretty much, we have to get used to losing this for P3D)

I see Tom had a similar idea ...and has an official documentation (A pinned topic) on this. Surprised to see not many have added to the list he has collected. I also don't want to duplicate his effort however, Tom's one is more official after taking input from Vendors... however this is for us simmers who may have tried and more informal./unofficial to give information to some of us if we should be excited about the V2 of P3D.

And they lack data...  and many of the vendors.. I have never heard off! :)

e) Copy and some tweeks required but works with 95% of the original feature (but may be violating EULA..and no tech support from the vendor)

If that last part is true, I would advice everyone to NOT post how to get things working anyway because that will bring Avsim into problems and it will result in a lock of this topic within no time.

@Manny: You might want to edit the OP and make it very clear that if the EULA does not permit usage of the addon in P3D, no further information should be posted about that addon at ALL. The information that you may not use the addon is sufficient.
