November 9, 201312 yr //Moderator edit--solicitations for money are not permitted--please read the AVSIM TOS// The Oculus Rift (which I use to own) is hopeless in flight simming as you still need to refer to charts, PFD/ND, instruments, etc. I believe the CastAR (created by ex-Valve employees) will work as an *excellent* low cost 180 degree surround system without the nausea and focusing issues of the rift....and you can refer to your charts and instruments! November 14, 201312 yr Author Less the. 24 hours to go. In their latest update they've posted a video how it would work in a cockpit. Ingenious for a piece of equipment less then $200. I will be setting up a 180> degree cockpit for sure when I get my castAR. Soarbywire - Avionics Engineering
