October 1, 200322 yr Hi,Boeing produced a lot of Boeing 767-300.But i am confused about the specific type numbers.I know, the trailing ER means Extended Range. The leading 767-3 means it is a member of the 767-300 family. But what do the X and Y mean in 767-3XY ?There are for example 767-332ER, 767-3G5ER and many others. Can anybody tell me how to "decode" the type number?Bodo
October 1, 200322 yr The letters/numbers are operator codes. Each company has a specific set up, and its just a designator. As for which codes belong to which companies, someone else will have to help you with that one.EDIT: After a simple search of "Boeing codes" on Google, I came up with this. http://aerosite.net/boeing.htm
