I've found that at what appear to be random times (can be during a long or short flight) I begin to get "stutters" especially when changing views. It just starts to get worse and worse as time goes on. I blamed it on all kinds of things from Squawkbox (where I first saw it happening) to Autogen, etc.. none of those things appear to directly cause it.I HAVE found a solution for it, although I have no idea why this works.Whenever I'm getting stutters I go to the display settings, hardware tab, and uncheck or check (depends upon whether it's already checked or not) the "Render to Texture" box. I then click ok and all the stutters are gone. I can go back and re-check it and it does NOT bring the stutters back.. so I'm wondering..is there something with my RAM or video?? I've tested the RAM, dl'd the latest drivers.. etc.. I'm ok with it like this, it's playable at least. I'm just wondering what could cause this and why.I have an Athlon XP 1900 512MB ram GeForce FX5200 128M vid card, not the fastest hard drive in the world lol.. XP Home SP2.... All drivers updated.. no antivirus or anything running.. the game gives me great Frame Rates otherwise.. 3D clouds OFF, all other graphic settings maxed..Jeff

<<< I've found that at what appear to be random times (can be during a long or short flight) I begin to get "stutters" especially when changing views. >>>I have that same problem with add-on planes that have complex exterior models. Im in the cruise and select wing-view and I get the stutters: for about 1 second the wing is a blank grey then MSFS stutters as it builds the paint job...so I see the engine pod gain its true colour in bands that start at the back and move forward (MSFS stutterting as this is happening!) it lasts about 2 seconds (or more sometimes) but yea it spoils things - specially when u are on wing-view on a takeoff roll and the scenery is slide-showing by for that little time! Thanks for the "Render to Texture" trick, I will try it myself! :)
