November 19, 201312 yr Hi guys, can someone please help me. I have just bought a new Asus computer for my flight sim. FSX Deluxe Version. Ive had FSX for just over 4 years and decided to use ad on scenery's. I also use track IR. OS Windows 8 Asus HD8350 Series 0 i5 AMD A8-5500 APU Radeon HD Graphics 3.20 GHz 64 bit Processor Graphics Memory 6884mb Video Memory 1024mb I bought REX and UTX USA and having issues with REX (Getting help) I also installed UTX and I don't notice any change at all. Extremely disappointed. I have installed UTX from the CD, Is there anything Im missing other than just installing it from the cd and following the setup. It mentions going to options, settings, scenery and changing to 1m. Is that in FSX on the settings screen because I have done this. All my roads etc look terrible. I have done all the obvious recommended tweaks in my fxs.CONFG file. for performance. Ive run everything as admin and installed FSX in root C:\ Feel like I wasted money on the add-on. Many thanks Nick

November 19, 201312 yr CD versions are often outdated. You can download latest UTX USA from here: http://www.scenerysolutions.com/ut_downloads_FSX.html There's a setup guide here (search for UTX Settings for best performance): http://www.simforums.com/forums/topic29041_post165463.html#165463 If want to see the difference, save a paused flight in an urban USA area at around 2000 feet above ground and take a screenshot. Then disable UTX using the setup tool, open the saved flight and take another screenshot. Then look at them side by side.
