November 19, 201312 yr What is it?It is a new software in development that will allow easy updating of the AIRAC cycle, FMS data, or Nav Data, of almost all addons available.Why should I update my Nav data?In order to use all the flight planning tools to the fullest, you need an up to date AIRAC cycle. They are released 13 times a year, and include airport information, airways, SIDs and STARs, waypoints, etc. They will greatly enhance the realism of your flights and will enable you to operate your FMS with real world information.What makes your software better?Its simplicity. It will be provided as a simple installer software. Each time a new cycle is released, you get an email. You log in to your account, you download the package, enter your product key, choose what add-ons you want the cycle applied to, and click “install”. That’s it. No more downloading and installing separately 10-15 packages in a time consuming process.Why isn’t it free?We actually really wanted it to be free. The problem is, the information to make the files is far from free. We can’t manage paying hundreds of dollars each month with no return, even though we’d love to. If we win the lottery, we promise to make it free!How much is it?Actually cheaper than any other provider. Final pricing is not to be announced yet, but there will be a per-cycle price, and then discounted subscriptions for 3 months (4 cycles) and one year (13 cycles).My Flight Sim computer is not connected to the internet, can you ship me a CD every cycle?Yes. There will be a one-year CD subscription option, although the price will be higher to consider the shipping charges. Also, you will probably not get it by day one of the AIRAC cycle.When will it be ready?We’re working as fast as we can. We estimate that we are 50% complete.
