December 14, 200421 yr Sounds like a lame date doesn't it?I like the DF Eastern Airlines livery. Anyone know where I can get some old EAL route info. for the 727. I don't know much about Eastern.I figured since the plane is so realistic (to a non 727 pilot that is) that I might as well try to use a realistic flight. I know they hubed at ATL and MIA. Anyways thanks
December 14, 200421 yr Well, Chris, about all I can suggest is perhaps a visit to Google. But, Eastern used to fly to Florida a lot, and considering the cold weather here in New York, try EWR to MIA. I flew Eastern on that route once.BTW, the 727 is even quite realistic to the several 727 pilots we had on the beta team. They drove Paul and team crazy over the systems, flight dynamics, etc. Happy flying, and bring back some warm weather with you!;-)Regards,http://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...R_FORUM_LOU.jpg
December 14, 200421 yr Once, my aunt flew and Eastern 727 from Greensbore, NC (KGSO) to Baltimore, MD (KBWI). That might be a nice first VOR Flight for your new bird. Time to get up to cruise altitude and switch VORs a couple of times. BWI has some nice arrivals if you are not using ATC. If you are not used to flying VOR for the arrivals, just 'request the vectors' and turn on ATC.then once, at band camp...Dennis
December 14, 200421 yr Chris,If you're comfortable working with AI flight plans and Traffic Tools, go to http://www.retroai.net/They have already set up the historic routes for Eastern AI (and a lot of other airlines as well), so if you open the flight plans, you can get the routes.(And if you download the Eastern 727-200 from Aardvark's site and assign it to the flight plan, you'll find a bunch of buddies waiting for you at the airports.)Best,Ken
December 14, 200421 yr Hey Lou,We didn't really drive him that nuts, did we? hehehehehe. OK, guess we did, but hey, the proof of the puding is in the eating, and in an aircraft, the flying, and this baby is just 'spot on!'So, all in all, it was worth every e mail, download, revision, and such to end up with such a great aircraft. This one was certainly worth the wait! Can't tell you how proud I am to have been just a small part of it all.BestClayhttp://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...ers/Dopke01.jpgClayton T.
