Using 2 tower freq.

Featured Replies

In big airports (like YSSY) for example, there are 2 freq for each of the Parallel runways 120.5 and 124.7, however i noticed in fs2004 you can only use i Freq for all runways..am i correct? Now, something strange is happening in honolulu. The planes are coming in on (22?)L however have no call telling the tower, nor the tower does not give them landing clearance, however the taking off for the Right runway is ok. any thoughts?

I can tell you that FS2004 correctly models the two tower frequencies at KLAS. If I am on final for runway 25L and another plane is preparing to land on 25R, tower will advise me of the other plane's presence but I won't hear tower talk to the other plane. I suspect that that is what is happening at PHNL runway 22 also. Go to Map View and click on PHNL and see how many tower frequecies are used, then monitor the different freqs. You'll likely find that they are controlling different runways. R-
