Dave how big is your movie? If it is GB (giga bite) in size you will have to burn a DVD if you have a DVD burner. A CD will only hold about 600 or 700MB of a video file. You would be limited on what you can play it on, computer for instance. If you have a DVD burner you will be able to play your movie in your DVD player on a TV.

I just made a DVD tonight, using Nero Ultra edition or whatever it's called. I downloaded a fully functional demo as I haven't made a DVD movie before. Nero is great because it automatically does the conversion for you- DVDs need the file in a certain format, and with many programs, you have to convert your .avi or .mpg before you can burn it. That's what kept me from doing it before- too much work.It even allows you to create the DVD menu!Unfortunately, it wouldn't play in my XBOX :( Maybe my XBOX has an older drive. I will try it in a newer player and report back.

So i made my movie now what how do i find it on my computer to burn i mean im so confuesed :( please help me with steps on where to look on my computer and stuff.. Thanks :)

OK- what did you make the movie with? By default, most programs will either save in your "My Documents" folder. It's probably an .avi file. You could do a windows explorer search for *.avi, and sort by modified date once the search is finished.1. Right-click the start button and select "search..."2. type *.avi in the file name3. In the "Look in" field, select "Local Hard Drives"4. click "search options". Select the date checkbox. Select "In the last 1 days"5. Click "Search Now"6. Wait for the search to finish. The "Stop Search" button will go grey again.7. In the results pane, click on the field header "Date Modified". It will display either descending, or ascending order. Click until the most recently modified file is at the top.Hopefully the file at the top will be your movie.

I typed in the name of my video and stuff came up but it wouldnt play with windows media player or real player so i dont understand how to burn it if it wont play on my computer. I recorded the video with the fs2004 default recorder. Thanks for helping me please try to help me some more (i really appreciate it) :)its an FSR file what ever that means

FSR will not work David. That is only a format for FS to play back.I responded to your other thread on the way that it is done.Carmine http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/Images/wave.gif

David, does your video card on your computer have TV out? If it does why don't you re-fly your movie and record it on VHS tape in real time? You will need a dubbing cable (3 wires, 2 for stereo sound and one for video)long enough to reach the VCR. Once you confirm that the video card has recognized the TV and VCR you can record anything you see on the computer. If you have head phones with a mic your voice will also be recorded like an intercom in the cockpit.I use this technic to capture smooth video motion. There is no strain put on the computer resources that is running flight sim to record the movie as in 'Game Cam'. You can leave it on the VHS tape. What I do now is then import the video on the VHS tape back into the computer with a video capture card. My current goal is to capture digital video so there is no loss of video quality because of the analog conversion. If you have one of the new DVD burners for TVs they are selling now you can burn a DVD instead of a VHS tape. The only problem is that you can't edit the video or add music with this set-up.

I'm sorry David, I get the feeling that you don't know what computer equipment you do have. This is beyond the scope of your basic question and you will need to get some help from someone other than myself.I will say, that if you do have the desire, you will learn how to do what you seek.
