just got the PMDG 777...is it normal to hear no engine startup sounds when in VC view? I hear the engines starting when on external view, but its pretty quiet when on internal view such as VC...

Hi Defo not normal I can hear the engines spool up and start and it sounds awesome. Maybe check your volume mixer as mine initially was turned down.

 

Left click the speaker icon in bottom right (in win 7 on my pc it's bottom right)

 

Then click mixer and see hat your fsx is at maybe drag that up a little see if that helps

 

If not I sure someone with more knowledge and expertise will help

thanks but i checked that and it didnt help.....once the engines start I can hear them fine...is just the startup is very quiet....
