January 2, 200521 yr I am interested in modfying an often-used flight (*.flt) by simply changing the date and time before loading Flightsim. In opening the FLT file I see that there is a section called DateTimeSeason, which I assume I can simply change accordingly. Can anyone tell me what the section called SimScheduler is all about and what the value of SimTime represents? If I leave that alone and change only the DateTimeSeason section, will I be OK if I load the flight in FlightSim?Doug
January 2, 200521 yr An easier way is to load the flight you already have, make any changes from within the flight simulator, select Flights, Save flight, select the original flight and modify name or type in a new name, add some comments, etc., then save the flight.Once a flight is saved, and is NOT the default flight, it will use the time/date stated in the FLT file vice the actual time and date when the flight sim is started. The default flight uses the actual time/date when the flight sim is started.I don't know what the SimScheduler and SimTime represents. Trying to answer your question resulted in my default flight being changed from a SimTime=0 to SimTime=511.81579027684433. I opened several other FLT files and the times varied.W. January 2, 200521 yr It's much faster to change the date and time in the FLT before it's loaded. Otherwise I have to sit and wait while the flight gets loaded twice. I tried the FLT modification this morning and it worked fine. Since the SimScheduler data seems to have no impact on the functionality of the modified FLT, I'm not going to worry about it. I'm not concerned about flying with the actual (real) time as the flight time since the VA schedule I fly requires that the flight be flown at the time specified in the schedule. Multiple flights might leave from the same place/gate but at different times so to change the start time before FS loads saves me time in setting it up. Doug
