Using DP for the first time ...

Featured Replies

Hi

I tried DP tonight with a friend for the first time. We made sure ...

- We both had SP1C

- "enabledatabroadcast" was enabled

- using the same exact aircraft with same config (directly from from the downloaded aircraft ..no changes)

- same fuel/payload.

- NGX CLDDRK config set as default startup config on both sides.

- When connected in FSX (over VPN LAN through Hamachi), we had the DP CAPT and FO programs started and connected, and then after successful connection ..."enable shared cockpit" button was pressed on the server side.

We had many issues and I don´t know why. I could control certain things on the overhead panel (like bleeds, packs etc) while my friend could not do the same on his side etc (desync) and he could control certain things while I couldn´t do the same...basicly some things where synced and some were not depending on who made the changes.

Also on my friends side he told me his MCP and radios etc where all blanked out. I thought this was strange because the aircraft was all powered up at that time and the PFD/ND were also powered up and displaying as normal

This can´t be normal, what are we missing here ?

Open the 'Desk Pilot Free User Manual.pdf' and search for 'Desk Pilot Shared Cockpit Crew Manual' it tells you everything you need to know about the switches.

It's also colour coded..

The aircraft must be in a cold & dark state before your friend joins the multiplayer session. You must also make sure both aircraft initialise after joining sessions.
