January 7, 200521 yr Hi, My System is as follows:-Processor: Athlon XP3000+ (333) Operating System: Win XP Home Mobo: MSI KT4 UltraRAM: 2 x 512 PC3200 U/C 333Video: XFX 6600GT DDR3 128mbStorage: 200gbAudio: SB Audigy 2I just upgraded the Graohics card from a G4ti4200 128mb to a XFX 6600GT DDR3 128mb. Improvement is not as great as I expected, although to be fair the AA & AF can now be turned way up! I run @ 1024 x 768 as I only have a 17" CRT. What I want to know is the following....Should AA be set using Nvidia properties & also set in the Options/Settings/Display, or should it be turned off in Nvidia Properties & set in FS or set in Vividia Properties & off in FS??I remember somewhere that it makes a difference - can someone please advise?
January 7, 200521 yr Uncheck AA in FS2004 display page, filtering is your choice (I run triliniar just great) and then set the AA inside the Nvidia control panel.Reason is, FS AA setting overrides the other one and doesnt do a good job nor is it even 4x I think.
January 7, 200521 yr Turn on AA on the card and leave it OFF in FS. If you turn it on in FS, all you'll get for your effort is a reduced frame rate.
