Hello guys and girls,Can anyone help me out.I've just brought Captain Sims 707, but ATC keeps calling me Experimental.Their own support forum is down for maintenance and I wondered if anyone else had come across this problem and knew what the fix was.I've copied over the UI and ATC settings from the aircraft config file of their 727 which is working fine, but my 707 is still on the Experimental books.RegardsMark

I'm not 100% sure, but check your aircraft.cfg under the UI_TYPE. I think that's where ATC reads it from.

I bet that if you look in the .cfg file, you will see the aircraft manufacturer referred to as "Boeing Aircraft" - many developers seem to want to use this phrase. It should just read "Boeing" - Flight Simulator recognizes that and knows how to say it, but it can't recognize "Boeing Aircraft" !

Hi Mark,I'm a little surprised that Captain Sims can't figure that out.The aircraft type and model show up in the (General) section of the aircraft.cfg file. The correct names are:ATC_type=BoeingATC_model=B703The response should be "...... is type Boeing 707.....".This is how it works in FS2002, and I assume it's the same for FS2004. Give it a try.Regards,JerryH

Thanks guys,I was looking in the wrong place in the aircraft.cfg file.Jerry, your fix worked greatRegardsMark
