Airport won't let me switch frequencies

Featured Replies

I wanted to do a touch and go at Courchevel (LFLJ). I received clearance to do so from the ATC, RW 050. The controller must have been laughing when he gave me clearance. It was extremely challenging, for me at least. As a matter of fact, when I watched the replay, just my front wheel touched down (Cessna 172) and then I chickened out and throttled her up to get over the trees at the end of the runway. I then went on to another airport. Here is where my question comes in. When I got near the other airport, I hit my ATC key, and the only choice I had was still at the frequency for Courchevel (LFLJ). The only choice was to ask for directions to THAT airport. So I tuned my COM to another station, the ATC at Caselle, where I wanted to land, and the ATC box came up w/ only one choice...tune Courchevel ATC. No matter what I did, I could not tune the ATC at Caselle, so I just landed w/ out clearance, and now am writing this from a virtual jail, and have lost my virtual licence (heh, heh). Seriously though, is there any way to change frequencies. I imagine had I cancelled my landing intentions before I had gotten too far from Courchevel (LFLJ) everything would have been fine. The fact is though, I didn't, so when I finally called up the ATC window, I was stuck. Is there some way around this?

Thanx for that tip. Much appreciated.Cheers mate!
