I just downloaded some of Holger Sandmann's scenery. Attached you'll see a pic of my FS9 directory, and how I placed the scenery into the Addon Folder. Do I have anything to worry about a memory leak doing it this way?

Looks fine. The thing to look out for is to not have a landclass .bgl file in a directory structure that also contains a Texture folder.
