Not possible to print FSX flight plans - help needed

Featured Replies

A buddy of mine approached me recently with a strange problem. He is not able to print FSX made flightplans. Any other button related to this function works fine within FSX. Actually I dont have any clue where to look at as it seems to me that the sim simply calls an internal Windows function (just the printer menu). I tested printing of Missions, maps etc. without a problem.

Select departure and destination airport (-->) Find route (-->) <first remark: the printer button above the map works> NavLog... (-->) Print <...  and nothing happens>.

FSX (Gold Edition, a German version) runs in a Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit environment (4 GByte memory). Actually I can't really compare here as my FSX is an English version on a German Win 7-64 version with more capable Hardware and for me this error does not exist.

A new installation might be difficult as he runs PMDG's NGX and due to hardware upgrades his installation counter might (!) be down to Zero. However, on this machine is hardly other software installed at the moment as it is more or less reserved for FSX and there are no other add-on I could name (I think a scenery of Aerosoft, that's it).

Does anbody has an idea where to look at or what to do?

Regards,
Axel

Isn't there some weird MS thing where if IE is NOT the default browser it craps out? I use Firefox and can't print, but that's not enuf to make me use IE as default!
