Cloud Tops popping up and down when viewed from above...!

Last night when flying above a broken clound layer with ASN active I noticed that the very top layer of the 3d clouds were poping up and down rapidly...

 

It kinda reminded me of the old cloud popping issue but only the very top thin layer was exhibiting this behavior.

 

Never saw this before running ASN. Had ASA and AS 2012 prior.
