S14 New Destinations

Five new destinations have been announced in Europe, Mexico and USA, with the following scheduled to begin in May 2014:

Glasgow - Las Vegas

Glasgow - Cancun

Glasgow - Dalaman

Glasgow - Lanzarote

Glasgow - Ibiza

Manchester - Orlando MCO

Manchester - Cancun

Manchester - Ibiza

Manchester - Lanzarote

London/Gatwick - Orlando MCO

Short haul services are operated by Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft, while long-haul services are operated by 2 Airbus A330-343X aircraft.

We are expected to take delivery of our second A330 in the coming months.

New London/Gatwick Hub

Last year, freshJet opened a public vote to help develop plans for the airline's next UK hub. Over 50% voted for London/Gatwick, and it has since been concluded that a new hub at London/Gatwick will open in May. Initially, 2 Airbus A320s and 1 Airbus A319 will be based at Gatwick, operating flights to Glasgow, Manchester, Belfast, Amsterdam, Alicante, Palma, Malaga and Tenerife.

Long-haul operations will inaugurate in July to Orlando.

Belfast Hub to Close

As a result of recent decline, it has been decided that our hub at Belfast International will close later this year. During the current season, a single Airbus A319 is based there, operating services to just six destinations.

Domestic services from Glasgow and Manchester will be unaffected by the closure.

Pilots will move to Glasgow, Manchester, or the new London/Gatwick hub.

In addition to the five planned new destinations previously announced, freshJet now plans to operate new services from Glasgow and Manchester to four new European destinations.

Flights to Riga, Prague, Stockholm and Warsaw will also commence in May and will be operated by Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft.

freshJet previously operated flights to Prague from Glasgow and Belfast however the route was temporarily withdrawn in favour of other routes due to aircraft restrictions.
