February 5, 201412 yr I read in the FCOMs that the engine oil quantity will tend to dip during engine start as the engine starts to run and gulp the oil hence the manual mentions a minimum oil quantity required before and after engine start. I notice this behavior when starting the APU, Its oil quantity dips then returns to normal but the engine oil does not budge. Is there a reason for this or is it just not implemented?
