Repost, stuttering

Featured Replies

I had posted this in the FSX forum but thought it may be more relevant here.

I had my system running smoothly, even in FTX areas, and then POOF, I started getting OOM errors and now it is stuttering.  So I turned down the  TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD and LOD_RADIUS.  My frame rates in non FTX areas are erratic now too?    I no longer have the OOM errors but the stuttering is still with me?

The only thing I can remember changing was loading a shared REX4 Direct theme.  I have since returned to my original theme, but see no difference.

I checked to be sure my nvidia settings haven't changed, that my CPU was still running at he correct speed, DirectX10 Fixer was set the same and my fsx.cfg looked correct.

I have done a recent fresh install.  It took me about a month to get most everything found, loaded updated and tweaked.  It has been running better than ever with almost everything maxed out after loading the DX10Fixer and related tweaks.  Ran super for the past few weeks and then BLAMO yesterday.

The last problem I had prior to this were with TrackIR and EZCA. I was having a problem with TrackIR using about 35% of system resources but found that loading it prior to plugging in my Saitek devices fixed that problem and then loading FSX.  Then I had a problem with EZCA creating StackHash errors and crashing FSX and found running FSX from it's root directory reduced the errors to about 3 errors now while loading FSX and then the errors stop without any more impact.  But, like I said, they had been sorted and everything fine for a week or two now.

I am at a real loss at what has happened.  It is not really flyable anymore and after a month of research and pain, not to enjoyable.

Any ideas where to look.

Thanks
Rick S.
