Sets all my aircraft.cfg camera's to CycleHidden=No?

Featured Replies

I'm not using the Live Camera system with OpusFSX but it seems to have changed all my aircraft.cfg  camera setting ... any CycleHidden=Yes I had set manually are now all CycleHidden=No.

Can anyone else confirm?

I typically don't like to cycle views because of VAS issues so limit the cycle to just VC and Spot.

Thanks, Rob.

If you enabled Live Camera at any stage then yes, the CycleHidden statements are set to NO. This is necessary because SimConnect provides only very primitive camera view mode and sub-mode control, so in order to set certain view modes (needed to display external or custom views for instance) the software must set a known view mode such as the VC cockpit and then count the view mode steps. This process only works if no essential standard view modes have been hidden.

Thanks for prompt response Stephen ... I think the problem is that Live Camera is enabled by default on initial install, so it will ALWAYS change all the aircraft.cfg camera settings (and hence removing my settings for CycleHidden).  Perhaps as a future change you could not default the Live Camera to enable and prevent this from happening?

I have many aircraft, so this was a time consumer to correct back ... but I did notice you do backup the original aircraft.cfg so that's good.

Cheers, Rob.

I will change the default initial configuration to disabled ready for the next beta and release versions.
