Wierd sound problem...

Recommended Posts

Out of the blue I have developed a wierd sound issue where when I am on short final my engine sounds become intermittent and staticky. It occurs on all my aircraft and only at this point in flight, taxiing, cruise, takeoff, flying the pattern all have no problems. It seems that once I pass 1000 feet agl of final then the sound problems begin. I haven't had time to dig into this one yet but I just wanted to see if anyone had any ideas. My setup:Intel 3.6ghzSoundblaster 2 Audigy ZS (latest drivers - last week)1 gig PC3200 RAMNvidia Geforce 4600 4TI 128MB

Ideas are all I have, rather than specific knowledge. Try rolling back to the previous sound drivers. I think this is supposed to be easy to do with XP. Other systems may require manual uninstall/install. Look in FS9/Modules folder and see if you havd a module called FSSound.dll. This is an add on module so you may not have it. If you have, try removing it temporarily.
