Advice on possible global purchase please

Featured Replies

After many hours of deliberating, it appears that the easiest and best combination for me would be FTX Global Vector FS Global with the landclasses as they are released and Rex Ess OD

Now once that's on, is that as far as it goes?

What I mean, is that as time goes on and I fancy treating myself, have I gone as far as I can go, or can it still be improved with payware airports (Aerosoft, UK2000) and other scenery? Can Orb FX England for example, be plopped on or is it a waste of time with what I already have?

Thanks

A FTX region (like ENG) would be an improvement over Global, openLC and Vector. An addon airport would be an improvement over the "upgraded" airports included in a region.

It's all up to your taste ... and budget.

Thanks for your swift reply Olli,

So I have my basic and then add on as needed. Are the roads very accurate in global? Could I navigate via the motorways for instance?

I can see a few giant SSD's being purchased before long  :P

Roads are vector data. So the ORBX vector product will do the trick. (Which requires FTX Global though.) Check the vector user guide for any details you need to know (ORBX don't guarantee 100% accuracy all over the world.):

And pls. note that the vector title requires an additional high-quality mesh, neither included in FSX default nor in the Global/Vector/openLC products:

I think I stated in my OP that I would be adding FS Global 2010. That should do the trick.
