Wilco Airbus A320-200 Takeoff performance issue

Featured Replies

Hi people.

I have a problem when I try to take off, the a/c seems a bit heavy, today I was making a flight from SEGU to SCEL, but I couldn't reach airborne, after Vr I pulled the stick up and the a/c slowly started to pitch up but never lifted the ground.

Few things to consider:

The GW was 70000kg, below MTOW, ZFW was 54400kg, the a/c was loaded with TOPCAT so trim, T/O Config and V-Speeds were calculated by TOPCAT. Fuel calculation was made by the PSS Fuel Planner.

I'm using a Wilco/PA merge, but I think it's not relevant because I've tested the Wilco A320CFM with the same calculations and I've obtained the same result.

The other issue is that TFC.exe calculations and TOPCAT calculations don't match, in fact they are quite different, TOPCAT seems to underestimate some T/O scenarios (like short runways).

What do you think?, Did I miss something? or there is something wrong with the a/c?

PS: I've missed something, I have a moded air file, using some tweaks to improve the aircraft behavior at low N1 (APPs now are perfect, even I've made the autoland work on Wilco!). Since the modification only affects the N1 lower range, it should affect the T/O performance.

Modifications are here if you want to try them! (they are quite hard to find).
