Joystick "dies" in Q400

Featured Replies

When I use the Q400, many times I cannot use my joystick. Tried to unplug from USB and plug it in, but not working. In Windows control panel the joystick is there and can be calibrated.

Using Logitech Extreme 3D pro, and W 8.

And when I check in FSX the joystick is not there, only "mouse yoke" !?

Please help

This is a well known Win 8 issue with FSX and has most likely nothing to do with the Q400. The only viable solution that I'm aware of is setting the controls in a registered version of FSUIPC(or returning to Win 7). LM has resolved the same joystick issue in P3Dv2, so that is also a "solution" I guess(Q400 works fine in P3Dv2 btw)
