DXT1 and DXT3??

Featured Replies

What's the difference between DXT1 and DXT3? Which is best to use for AI textures for better framerates? Thanks.

DXT1 has no reflections, where DXT3 has, use DXT3 for AI textures, they are fine for this purpose. Also, you will save a lot of HDD space, and increase performance if you convert all of your 32-bit textures to DXT3, with minimal IQ loss.Dan.
