Good day gentlemen,

I have a slightly annoying issue with FSX and I was hoping someone here has a solution. My system is running three monitors on a Diamond 6950 HD 2 Gb card and with Track IR5. When the sim first starts, all of the views (internal and external) are zoomed completely in and I must fully zoom out to achive the field of view that I prefer. Is there a way to set this zoom level permanently?

If you are referring to the default Virtual Cockpit view, then it is as easy as:

 

Navigate to C:\Users\%YOUR_USER_NAME%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX

 

and locate the Cameras.cfg file.

 

Open with notepad or equivalent, and the definition for that view should be the second one listed.

 

Edit the InitialZoom = value (default 0.8) up to zoom in, down to zoom out.
