Strange planes

hi guys i was watching the history channel and they were doing a documentary on german jet planes. If you have ever played Return to Castle Wolfenstein, you will recognize these planes. I want to know if they ever existed (the BAchiem 317 did exist, but for a short while). If U can help i appreciate it;Dnote: the plane standing up is the BA317 Kobra rocket planePs. i apologize for the picture quality

If you also play Battlefield 1942 Secret weapons, you'll come across an even stranger aircraft: The McDonnell XF-85 Goblin. I couldn't believe these planes are for real, but they actually flew! These aircraft were meant to be carried aboard a bomber and could be released to defend the bomber. Imagine sitting in the cockpit of one of these while aboard another aircraft, waiting to be dropped!Check out http://www.wpafb.af.mil/museum/air_power/ap38.htm. I'd love to have one in FS2004!

That's pretty cool. If i ever learn to use gmaz that might be the first plane i make, (chuckle)
