Just watched the full cadet training and I was really impressed! Especially the talk through of the FMS which for me has been one of the most puzzling parts of the cockpit for me!

 

One question I did have is the ground crew you have in the videos [marshaller, tug driver]; is this part of FSX, the scenery, a separate add-on or the Q400 package ?

Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for your custom. The pushback came from GSX, made by FSDreamteam. We edited out the bits where the menu commands were made on screen. It includes a push back tug, marshaller and luggage handling, along with passenger bus and catering. HIGHLY recommended.

 

In the Dash, the normal SOP (well the one we follow anyway) is to start engine two on stand from the ground power unit and then disconnect it, push back and start engine one while pushing back. GSX has a limitation in the Q400 where it locks out the fuel control so you can't do this. Hence we either started both on stand or both when pushed back.
