DeHavilland DH6 Twin Otter Amphibian?

Featured Replies

I may have overlooked it, but have not found any Twin Otters Adapted to amphibian floats. Plenty of wheel and float versions, but no amphibs.Anyone know of such an animal? Thanks:RTH

Found one which I completely overlooked on AvSim. Alaska Winds.dhc-6_aw(amphib).zipHappy Flying:RTH

FYI, there is an Twin Otter amphibian by Eric Dantes and Mauricio Illanes on AVSIM with the filename dhc-6_c-fopi_(amphihie).zip depicting a livery of the Ontario Mininistry of Natural Resources. There is also another (textures only for the same aircraft) in the livery of Bush Flying Unlimited in a file called 693-32.zip. The latter is a very nice repaint by Heather Sherman.Stan V.

I noticed they are for fs2002. Will they work for FS9?, Thanks, Bob

Yes.The Eric Dante units have a patch (all_dhc-6.zip on this site). Great amphibians.Premier Aircraft Designs have units both for FS2002 and for FS2004. A number of good looking liveries. As on almost everything else, you may want to do some aircraft.cfg editing for weights and fuel capacity by checking websites for specs.I would also recommend dhc-6_aw(amphib).zip as well. In fact, you may want to use the airfile from this bird in others as well. Gauges read a bit more accurately on the recommended panel below.Jean-Pierre Langer and Arne Bartels have designed an excelent panel for these birds as well. (Thanks guys if you read this).Good luck:RTH

Thanks for the tips I'll check all out today, Bob
