Combat/Tactical Approach. Pretty normal. See C-130s shootin' them here all the time. Pretty cool cause they are also doing a 180 degree turn, since there are these mountians in the way for a staight shot.

I was with a pilot once that upon takeoff reached up to retract the landing gear but instead ejected the Aux fuel tanks... Not realizing what had happened he blew the lids and order me to eject at a lower allitude than I was happy with so I replied "What for, all you did was ditch the fuel tanks." ... We made a go round and landed... Needless to say he got a lot of grief over but supriseingly no trouble...Ron Mashburn
