G1000 and other control mappings

Recommended Posts

I am building a cockpit for my Carenado C208 Grand Caravan EX. I have mapped the com and nav knobs to rotary encoders using SimConnect. I am trying to do the same for the Group, Page and Zoom Knobs. I have mappings for the standard G1000 Group, Page and Zoom knobs but the Carenado G1000 doesn't respond to them. Would it be possible using a custom guage? or via FSUIPC?

Many thanks!

Just found this thread, and I think you can do this very well using FSUIPC and LINDA.  Using LINDA you can detect every call-out when you activate any switch, and then program a switch on your cockpit for that control. Get the latest 'paid for" version of FSUIPC, and then go over to the LINDA forums up here on Avsim for more help.

Right now, I'm up here looking for the LINDA module for the Grand Caravan EX, but if no one has created it yet, I'll use the LINDA program to find the commands I need to program my Saitek X-55 controller.

Good luck!
