April 23, 201412 yr Hello, I would like to know how I can use Desk Pilot on vatsim? Could you make a manual for us? Because I don't join vatsim as the way you described in your manual. I join vatsim via Free Flight and then connect vatsim. I can't get it work and I would like to fly the PMDG 737NGX with a friend of me on vatsim! Who is able to help me? Best regards
April 24, 201412 yr Author Unfortunately this isn't working. The gamespy isn't working anymore. I also tried to setup my own session but for some reason this doesn't work. I watched several tutorials on youtube about setting up your own session via LAN but nothing works. We also tried to join several servers via LAN but when we are both in the cockpit we got kicked due high ping all the time.
April 24, 201412 yr I can assure you it does work. First thing your going to do is login to your router(Assuming your using one) and forward(open) the following ports to the computer that is currently hosting the fsx multiplayer session. Those ports are TCP/UDP 6112,6122 and 60000. Now to confirm that ports have been forward correctly, run this program http://portforward.com/store/PFPortChecker.exe and check all three ports. The next step is to check your firewall and make sure desk pilot and fsx is allowed. Done? You can now give your friend your ip address, they should be able to directly connect and have no issues. May 4, 201412 yr Honestly, i haven't tried vPilot yet. My assumption is only one pilot connects to vatsim, submits the flight plan and uses the radios. While the other user joins the hosted multiplayer session. Although the user that doesn't connect to vatsim will not see vatsim traffic. After quickly skimming through the documentation, it seems like there is no way to hide the aircraft or set up observer mode like FSInn. Michael Harders
