Looking for a better video-card...maybe the R9 280X?

Featured Replies

Wanting to replace an aging GTX465 with only 1Gb of memory and replacing it with either a R9 280X (3Gb), GTX770 (2Gb) or maybe the GTX760 (4Gb). First of all does more memory matter, secondly does a larger bus size/speed help in resolution and textures. Btw, I'm looking to spend around $300 +/-

It seems that the ATI R9 280X offers the best bang for the dollar/euro and also has capabilities for a higher resolution future (4K).

Thanks for any help offered...Darryl

Nvidia is the only way to go with FSX IMHO.  I have the 780ti.  If you can find that card in your budget, it's INCREDIBLE!

Both the 760 and 770 will also do 4K, according to the specs anyway.
