FSX not responding after saving flight

Hello Everybody,

I just got a new gaming rig and have installed fsx fresh onto it.  However, when I try to save the flight in the PMDG NGX, fsx will freeze, not respond for a few seconds, and then (if I'm lucky) resume.  I have deleted and reset the cfg, and logbook file. All the video card drivers are up to date.  How can I fix this?
