Nice little Griffy Spit video on Rolls-Royce webpage

Featured Replies

http://www.rolls-royce.com/history/overview/spitfire.jspOn the left pane of the above page is a link to a short video of a Griffon-powered Spitfire. This particular aircraft is owned and operated by Rolls-Royce itself. FS2004 Realair Spit pilots might enjoy watching, gives ya nice perspective seeing the real one flying around. :)

Thanks Dianne. Nice find!I've been looking around for some good Spitfire sites but haven't really come across any.James

Beautiful slow roll!! I wonder if Enrique trained that pilot!

Okay, I probably shouldn't do this but I can't resist. If a certain four letter expletive offends you, please do not open the following link and/or turn down your speakers. Otherwise, go for it :(http://www.plawner.org/videos/ohmygodSpitfire+pass.wmv

Yeeeeehaaaaa!********** me!!! :-eekWhat was going on there? Looks like that pilot was on some kind of bender to take out a reporter!Great vid! Thanks :DJames

For what it's worth, the Spitfire pilot was Mark Hanna, a well-known warbird pilot who was killed in a warbird crash in Spain in 1999. The reporter was Alan de Cadenet, an ex-racing driver and current race team owner who does a lot of reporting and commentary for the Speed Channel in the US. He also happens to own and fly a Spitfire himself.

Weird - I don't know why the Rolls site won't work properly for everyone. I'm currently using version 1.0 Mozilla as my primary web browser, along with Windows Media player version 6.4 and Windows XP Home. Still working ok for me. Do you guys have Media player 6.4+ and all of the updated codecs?

Yep have tried with Mozilla Firefox 1 and Internet Explorer 6 SP2. Also have windows media player 10 with all the codecs. However it still says it downloads a codec successfully and installs it but then it won
