Can comments be put in FS9.cfg file?

Featured Replies

It would be helpful to me to be able to put separate comment lines, or add comments at the end of each existing line. Anyone know how?

yea, put a colon after the entry, then put the coment in eg:SEE_SELF=1 ; 1 to show virtual cockpit in 2D cockpit

At the end of the line you want to add the comment, start it with //comment here.Here is some examples from the default Cessna 172:[GeneralEngineData]engine_type = 0 //0=Piston, 1=Jet, 2=None, 3=Helo-Turbine, 4=Rocket, 5=TurbopropEngine.0 = 2.4, 0.0, 0.0 //(feet) longitudinal, lateral, vertical distance from reference datumfuel_flow_scalar= 0.88 //Fuel flow scalarmin_throttle_limit = 0.0 //Minimum percent throttle.
