February 20, 200521 yr Posted in hardware and got no response. I hope to get an ATI X800 video card. For the 2nd card I can't afford another one of those. What would be a good 2nd card? How are frame rates if the 2nd card can't keep up with the 1st? This would be with a left view on the new card and a right view on the 2nd card in 2d mode?JimCYWG
February 20, 200521 yr If the X800 has dual monitor support (primary and secondary devices, one hooked up via the DVI connector on the card, the other via the DB15 connector) then you don't need a second graphics card. You would simply split the desktop across two monitors and use your primary monitor for the 3D view and the secondary monitor for various 2D views (instruments, FSNavigator, etc). Works well with no noticeable performance penalty.
