May 23, 201412 yr Hello everyone! This is my first post here! First off I've been an avid simmer for the past 3 - 4 months and I'm loving it. I recently got into flying the PMDG 737 and love it. I'm planning to buy the PMDG 777 when it comes out on disc, (20th June I think) and noticed a feature I really like, the Time Compression feature. I can't wait to try it out and I was wondering whether you guys know any free software that would speed up the simulation rate without making the aircraft wobble all over the place. the default feature often creates havoc for both freeware and payware. Can y'all recommend a program that would do this without destroying my flight often? Second, can y'all recommend a software (freeware if possible) that handles ATC operations properly and has SID's and STAR's? whenever I fly IFR on the NGX the ATC keep telling me to go this way, then back to another way, then some other way that's not planned in the route and it's really annoying. That's why I often fly VFR.. Thanks a lot!

In PMDG 777 I gradually increase time accel during climb and step climb as the air gets less dense. At about 15K feet roughly on x2 by 40K feet am anything from x8,x16,x32,x64 even x132 on pmdg 777 keeps autopilot .But the air has to very smooth and no bad weather for higher accel. I strongly recommend CS weather radar, turn it down say 0.5 degrees and forget it there, the clearer the picture on the radar the higher time accel you can use, its as simple as that. So climb higher to use higher time accel, also reducing your air speed makes plane more stable for higher time accell. One very nice feature of PMDG 777 is its intelligent auto time accell, which reduces its time acell in unstable air, then up again in smooth air. 2. As for ATC, I think the best all round is PFE. It does not send you flying in circles like fsx atc during approach. RC4 would have been a contender but it always requires new license everytime you upgrade any little hardware on your PC, which for FSX PC is generally regularly. That said after trying most ATC out there I finally settled for FSX ATC for ground progressive taxi only, in the air I am my ATC. NOt using addon ATC has removed a lot of setup hassle and CPU drain. With PMDG 777 you need all the VAS you can get so less addons help.
