February 23, 200521 yr I am doing a clean FS install on a new Laptop and forgot the name of Chris File to eliminate the slugguisness of FS because of cloud density in the default Clouds. I know Chris made one set of new textures shortly after FS came out that solved the problem. And a few months later it came out with a better solution. What are the names of the files and where could I download them.Your prompt reply woul de highly appreciated.Edmundo CardenasCaracas, Venezuela ( Now in Decatur Georgia !)
Proud pilot of [link:www.flymeridian.com]Meridian Airline][/b

February 23, 200521 yr If you don't have FSSkyWorld, simply go to the fsw website, (fsw.simflight.com) and click on the downloads link. The two files in question are under the "FIX" heading and are called HiFPSv2.zip and HiFPS.zipHiFPSv2.zip offers the best performance with the least detail, whereas HiFPS.zip offers a compromise between detail and performance by giving better performance than default, but better detail than HiFPSv2.For mid to low end systems I reccommend HiFPSv2, as it allowed me to run 100% 3d clouds with real weather and low cloud density with pretty good results (with real weather even low cloud density is pretty dense) on an old NVidia FX5200. When I upgraded my video card to a 6600GT, I went with HiFPS, as it offers an increase in detail and allowed me to really crank up the cloud density to high.
