June 5, 201412 yr Okay so i updated windows 8 yesterday! Love it, Except for the fact i cant use my JOYSTICKKK!!!!!!!!!! So it seems when i get into the sim and load an aircraft and go to a airport, as soon as it loads the joystick is fine. I can move the Joystick and FSX responds like it should do! Then out of no where, all of a sudden i can stil use the hat switch to look around, but when i move the joystick up down left right ect FSX dosent respond. When i go into Controls, it says my Joystick is no longer there anymore! But yet when i return to FSX i can still use the hat switch, i just cant get anything else to respond. Im running dual monitors, running FSX in Windowed mode but with the FSX Borderless addon PC Specs ( if its required ) I5 4670K 3.4Ghz OC 4.4Ghz, 8GB ram and the GTX770 If anyone has any suggestions im open to absolutely anything Edit - Another useful thing to probably know is that i dont use FSUIPC for my Controls, Perhaps if i get in Quick whilst the controls are still active, and set up FSUIPC for my controls, Maybe that may take away the problem ? Eh its worth a try Kind Regards, Jack Dutton
June 5, 201412 yr Hi. Have a look at this link. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2900614/en-us Helped me out when I had the same problem. In my case Windows seemed to be turning power off to the USB port the joystick was plugged into. Rob
