March 1, 200521 yr does anyone know if failures will work in FS9 with addon aircraft? i tried to fail an engine in a md83 within 3 minutes but nothing happened at all. was wondering if the failures only work with the default aircraft. anyone know? william
March 2, 200521 yr Hi. In the aircraft you want? Check 'aircraft', then 'realism' then I think you can model all sorts of failures. In fact it's on the Create A Fright page at the start.
March 2, 200521 yr hi, thanks for the reply. i was wondering if failures worked with {add-on} aircraft. I know they will work with the default aircraft but nothing seems to happen with any of my addon a/c. William
March 4, 200521 yr Hi. In the aircraft cfg you may need to check the damage line and make sure it says '1' and not '0'. Perhaps.
March 5, 200521 yr Author I've created failures in add-on aircraft before. I believe the systems have to be labelled to something that FS can fail though. Like naming it "engine1" and not "motor1". Not a programmer on these things, just conjecture. I believe the key is the aircraft.cfg for the aircraft in question.----------------------------------------------------------------John S.
