June 19, 201411 yr Hello! I just did my first landing with the NGX while using the HUD. I managed to smash my virtual head through the HUD while breaking after landing. Here is a video of what happened (starts at 2min 6s): I'm not 100% sure, but might this happening because of the landing effect on the Opus camera? Is there anyway to modify, how much the camera moves forward during breaking? Thank you for the help! (just for reference, I'm using version 3.01.2) Jarkko Puustinen (FSX live streamer, YouTuber) http://www.twitch.tv/virtualfreightdog http://www.youtube.com/user/VirtualFreightDog
June 19, 201411 yr Commercial Member If this is an OpusFSX camera view then you will need to turn off the Head Acceleration effects in the DHM dialog for this camera, as the head position is very close to the HUD, and possibly do the same for any other cameras that have a similar head position. The Head Acceleration effects are probably best enabled when the head position is further back corresponding to the seated position, hence the head moves a few inches forward giving a more subtle effect. I would advise leaving the default slider settings and just removing the Head Acceleration on this view, then everything should be OK. Also note, I believe there is a head acceleration effect in the sim which I do not have any control over. You may need to disable that effect as well but not sure how or if you can. If you disable the Opus Head Acceleration that will at least allow you to see if its the issue, could well be as the movement was just a few inches. Stephen :-) I would also recommend upgrading to the latest beta or wait until we are back from our holidays and upgrade to the release version next month. Stephen :-) Quite a funny video though. :-D
