March 6, 200521 yr This is the only modeled aircraft that I have found to be beliveable. By that I mean the sensation of actually flying. In every other one I have tried there are usually somethings that you just have to ignore and slip further into delusion. The Spitfire lands and takes-foof in a believeable fashion. No shooting star effect on takeoff or odd modeling of the ground effect when landing. In addition to these factors this aircraft has a nose. For me this makes it a bit more real and enhances the feel of the craft. Many airplanes offer countable rivets, opening doors, glossy reflections, etc. But I have seen none that offer such a good simluation of flight, which after-all is why you spend the time and money with FS2004. Up to now I have used the Real Air Cessna 172 as my standard but had to overlook the excessive climbing ability immediately after takeoff. You can, to some degree, trim around this but compared to the Spitfire it now is a little used item.Dick Boley @KLBE regards, Dick near Pittsburgh, USA
