FPS in legacy mode

hello just wondered if anyone could throw some light on a situation with P3dv2.2 ,I have Happily used P3d in legacy mode since ver1.4 with no issue and have all-ways  achieved approx  30fps,6/7 days ago I clicked on the P3d normal desktop shortcut (by mistake)and found with exactly the same in Sim settings /CFG etc(first thing I checked ) I was achieving approx 20fps,any idea why or how  i gain around 10fps in legacy mode or lose 10 fps in normal mode,I have posted this on FSE forum but no response ,wonder why the difference ,this is with a clean install of P3dv2.2,I have repeated this starting in P3d legacy and then in P3d normal mode several time  and it does not change approx 10fps difference,so what have I done wrong again
