Black area following aircraft & corrupting scenery

Featured Replies

A friend of mine is unable to solve the following problem and I have run out of ideas myself:

The 'black circle' surrounds the aircraft itself, even if it's position changes.
FSX is in DX9 mode (HDEv2, NGX, Aerosoft EHAM, FTX Global+Vector, GSX, AES, IVAP) with settings similar to the AVSIM config guide, but with tweaks from the Venetubo tweak tool. No weird shader mod or other experimental modifications are applied.

What can cause this strange issue? Is there a suitable solution?

Thanks in advance!  ^_^

What are his computer specs?

He managed to fix it with restoring a texture back-up from earlier and re-installing FTX Global. Something must have been corrupted.

Thanks for having a look at it, Jim. I appreciate it :)
